Okay, these characters are not the REAL staff at St. Michael, but you might find them hanging around the church on any given Sunday. They are members of our popular puppet ministry, and they love welcoming visitors and entertaining everyone with their hilarious antics. But when it comes to making St. Michael the church you will want to call home, there are no harder working, more serious, or more effective folks than our real staff. We'd like you to meet them.

Rev. Stuart Luce

Bridge Pastor

We welcome Rev. Stuart Luce as the Bridge Pastor during this time of transition at St. Michael! Pastor Luce is a graduate of Gettysburg College and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He served three previous congregations, in Northwest Ohio, Limerick, Pennsylvania and most recently in Maryland.

With over twenty-eight years of parish experience, Pastor Stuart brings a wealth of skills and experience from a variety of ministry situations. One of his passions in all areas of ministry is to be discerning, being serious in searching for and following God's guidance and direction. This has value at all times in our lives and in the life of a congregation, but it will be especially important during our time of transition. We look forward to Pastor Luce helping us all seek God's wisdom at this time!

Pastor Luce and his wife Carolyn have two boys, Joshua who is twenty-two and lives in Rhode Island and Andrew who is 16 and a junior in high school. For fun he is a movie fan, enjoys video games and road bike riding.

Pastoral Needs Team Update — Jay Liska

The goal of the Pastoral Needs Study Committee is to rapidly and effectively prepare us to identify a new pastor once Pastor Rick retires at the end of the year.

Having the best possible team members will be critically important to the successful completion of this process. I am delighted to report that I have assembled such a team! The following individuals will represent you, and involve you, in this important work: Melanie Langhorne, Rick Huneke, Eris Heiss, Charlene Dickens, Brian Keefer, Hanna Michel, Sal Morabito, Kate Parker, Lanny Lewis, Charlene Stone, and Eric Wika.
